We are a nationally accredited cancer care program at a state-of-the-art Cancer Care Institute located in Davenport, IA. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Medical Physicist who is Board Eligible or Board Certified to join our collaborative and passionate team. Our practice is committed to delivering exceptional care and treatment to our patients, and you will play a vital role in that mission.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department.
  • Ensure equipment safety and quality patient care while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in teaching and mentorship within the department.
  • Oversee patient-specific QA, chart QA, and linear accelerator QA, as well as plan checks.
  • Work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and therapists to support patient treatment.
  • Engage in calibration and commissioning of linear accelerators and other radiation sources.
  • Implement new technologies as needed to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to a team that includes 2 physicists, 2 dosimetrists, and multiple therapists and nurses, treating approximately 35 patients daily.
Qualifications:
  • MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
  • Must be or be willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist.
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • IA license (or willingness to obtain).
  • US Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified) in Medical Physics by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
