Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join our 5-physician practice at a leading healthcare facility in Topeka, Kansas. Enjoy this opportunity in the Midwest capital city, well-known for its affordable cost of living and community-friendly atmosphere.
Job Responsibilities:- Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
- Participate in a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, with approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverage.
- Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
- Deliver a full range of services in a Level-III, 36-bed NICU.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, total body cooling, and aEEG.
- Manage an average daily census of 26 with an average length of stay of 19 days.
- Handle approximately 500 admissions annually.
- Access to pediatric subspecialty support in Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, and Endocrinology.
- Work within a NICU that has maintained The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies since 2012.
- Open to new Fellow graduate candidates already board certified in Pediatrics.
- Consideration for J1 and H1B visa candidates.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship working toward Board Certification) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start).
- Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
- DEA required (must be obtained prior to start; no exemptions).
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - Required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - Required
- Kansas license (or willing to obtain) - Required
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - Required
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - Required
