Emergency Medicine Physician - Now Hiring

ER physician needed in West Burlington, IA!

Rate is $250/hour

• Evening shift ( 12p to 12a or 1p to 1a)
• 17% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day
• 2% of ED patients transferred per day
• 27 beds
• 8 ED physicians in group
• No fast track in ED
• All ages - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
• EMR: Cerner
• Level 4 Trauma
• ED staff responds to house codes - there are hospitalists 24/7, ED doctors respond to codes
• Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not received in ED
• ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics/ambulance by radio
• 24-hour availability for Radiology, Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia
• Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
• Description of consultants: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hem/Onc, Psychiatrist
• ED sees about 80 to 100 patients in a 24 hour shift. A typical day has 5 providers on per 24 hours
• Housing, flight, and rental car provided
• Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required (client not currently considering IM/FM)
• Active IA license - Required
• ATLS (preferred), ACLS, BLS, PALS - Required by start date
• Must have 1-2 years experience
