Are you a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon looking for a locum tenens opportunity? A reputable healthcare provider in the Whiteville, TN area is seeking a qualified physician for temporary coverage in early 2025.

• Dates: February 21 March 3, 2025.
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours with call responsibilities.
• Practice Setting: Outpatient, with hospital privileges required.
• Support Staff: Includes 3 physician assistants and office staff.
• EMR Systems: Athena for outpatient, Centricity at the hospital.
• Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 60-90 days.

• Outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week (approximately 35 appointments).
• Rounding in the hospital, averaging 15 patients daily (2-4 hours).
• Call coverage with 0-2 callbacks per 24-hour shift and less than 10 calls overall.
• Performing a variety of procedures, including:
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
  • Valvular repairs and replacements (AVR, MVR).
  • Thoracic procedures such as lung resections.
  • Vascular surgeries (optional but preferred), including aortic dissection repair and carotid endarterectomy.

• License: Active Tennessee medical license required.
• Board Certification: Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (fellowship preferred).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Temporary privileges are available.
• No admissions required during the assignment.
