Locum Tenens Opportunity: Pathology Physician Near Fowler, MI We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathology Physician for a locum tenens position near Fowler, MI. Position Overview: Profession : Physician Specialty : Pathology Location : Near Fowler, MI Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Shift Type : Days Hours : Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Work Details: Practice Setting : Hospital-based Pathology Lab Call Schedule : Weekly, alternating weeks Starts Friday at 5:00 PM and ends the following Friday at 8:00 AM Nights/weekend rotation is required Volume : Approximately 35-50 cases read per day, with the workload split between two pathologists Certification : CLIA certification held by the laboratory Case Types : Broad spectrum of pathology cases, requiring a well-rounded pathologist with experience in both common and complex diagnostic work Requirements: Board Certification : Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology State License : Must hold an active Michigan medical license or be eligible to obtain one Emergency/Temp Privileges : Not available; standard credentialing process applies Experience : Proven experience in a hospital-based pathology setting is preferred Additional Information: Call Ratio : Every other week, covering nights and weekends Credentialing Timeframe : Standard timeframe applies; however, candidates must be ready to start as soon as September 30th Onboarding : Comprehensive orientation will be provided, along with support from the medical team to ensure a smooth transition into the role This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment while enjoying the flexibility and variety that locum work provides.
