Position: Pathologists' Assistant (ASCP) Birmingham, AL Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Full-time (Benefit Eligible) Job Summary: We are seeking a Pathologists Assistant (ASCP) to join our team in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the patient care process by preparing, grossing, and dissecting human tissue specimens. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality control. New graduates are welcome to apply! Key Responsibilities: Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, from simple to complex. Recognize and implement corrective actions when necessary. Work safely in an environment with biological and chemical hazards. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Master s Degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists Assistant program . ASCP certification (PA-ASCP) REQUIRED . 1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types preferred (new graduates considered). Strong analytical, reading, and writing skills. Proficiency in operating general laboratory equipment (computers, microscopes, pipettes, etc.).
