Position Details: Specialty: Pediatric Emergency Medicine Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Provider Type: Physician Request Type: Locum Tenens Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient Key Responsibilities: Schedule: 9-hour shifts, primarily during evenings and nights. Coverage needed for approximately 15 shifts per month. Practice Details: Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Manage a patient load of 14-18 per shift. Department includes 13 rooms and 3 hall beds. No rounding required. Qualifications and Requirements: Licensing and Certification: Must be licensed in Missouri. Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine is preferred; board-certified pediatricians with emergency department experience will also be considered. Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (if not PEM fellowship-trained). PALS certification required for PEM fellowship-trained candidates; ATLS required for non-PEM candidates. Privileges: Hospital/surgery center privileges are necessary. No temporary privileges available. Additional Information: EMR System: Epic. No call responsibilities.
