Locum Tenens Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Neurocritical Care Near Joanna, SC

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurocritical Care for a locum tenens position near Joanna, SC. Key Responsibilities:

• Coverage Requirements:

  • Provide night shift coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., 5 consecutive days per week.
  • Expected to work between 10 to 14 nights per month.
  • No weekday or weekend call.

• Patient Care:

  • Manage an average of 7 patients per day.
  • Handle 8 hospital patients daily, including 3 admissions and 8 ICU patients.

• Procedures and Skills:

  • Required: Central lines and arterial lines.
  • Preferred: Experience with infectious disease, hematologic disorders, surgical care, and suturing.

• Support:

  • Work alongside 3 physicians onsite at all times.
  • Anesthesia and GYN services available as needed.
  • Access to support from specialized consultants for complex cases.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Active South Carolina license required; no exceptions.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting with current experience in neurocritical care.
• Charting: Experience with Epic preferred.
• Credentialing: Estimated timeframe of 60-90 days to start.

Additional Information:

• Housing: Not specified; candidates should arrange their own accommodations.
• Intermittent Dates: Availability required for 5 days consecutively, with a flexible schedule to be determined between client and provider on a monthly basis.
