Job details:
• Preferred candidates will have strong competency in the surgical treatment of epilepsy and interest in developing cutting edge approaches for epilepsy surgical. Demonstrated experience in areas such as education, research, or quality are also welcomed.
• Clinical duties include outpatient care for people with epilepsy, as well as a mix of routine EEGs, EMU, LTM and intracranial EEG services.
About the Epilepsy Center:
• The Epilepsy Center's approach to care is a supportive, multidisciplinary care model. The team includes 8 epileptologists and 3 neurosurgeons. The behavioral health of our patients is attended to in collaboration with our social worker and psychiatrist. Our care model is strengthened by a group of outstanding advanced practice providers.
• We are a warm and welcoming group of people with a very collaborative mindset. We enjoy a private practice approach in the clinic balanced by an academic program structures. The UConn neurology residency program clinical training is based at the Hospital and the program director is one of the epileptologists. Furthermore, the group offers excellent infrastructure for research and has multiple clinical collaborations with technology companies. As epilepsy specialists we meet regularly to discuss complex cases, review EEGs, discuss journal articles, and share ideas.
