Western Colorado Primary Care Physician Opening 40 Minutes From Grand Junction
  • Clinical Role:
    • Seeking a physician Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
    • BLS - Required
    • Permanent position; Hospital Employed
    • Outpatient care of medically complex patients
    • Dedicated office and two exam rooms per provider
    • 49 bed hospital
      • 6 ICU
      • 6 Labor & Delivery Recovery Rooms
      • Level 1 Nursery with C-Section suite on site
      • GE 450 Wide Bore MRI, two 64-slice CTs, 3-D Tomosynthesis mammography, 2D/3D prone breast biopsy, DXA bone densitometry, Cartesion Prime Digital PET/CT and nuclearmedicine
      • Cardiac / Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Occupation and Physical Rehabilitation
    • Trauma Level IV Designation
    • Average: 18 -20 patients per day
      • 35% Adult
      • 60% Geriatric
      • 5% Pediatric (18yo +)
    • Laboratory on site 24/7; turnaround approximately 1 - 1 hour
    • Group size: 1 other Internist, 2 Family Medicine physicians, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 1 Physician Assistant
    • Ancillary services within the facility include lab, x-ray, cardiac rehab, orthopedics, endocrinology, wound care, and physical therapy
    • Specialty backup includes:
      • Behavior Health, Hematology, General Surgery Obstetrics, Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Otolaryngology (ENT)
    • Hospitalists on site 24/7
    • EMS served 24/7
    • Electronic Medical Records done in Athena
    • Schedule:
      • 4-day shifts per week
      • Shared Call Rotation (1:5 24/7 Hospitalist Program in place at hospital)
