• Sumner County s only neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
• Full array of services including cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency, inpatient
rehabilitation, orthopedics, surgical and women's services
Hospitalist Position Details
• Block Scheduling, Also preferred if the locum support could do the same.
o Phys: 3 Day rounders; 7a-7p and 1 Night 7p-7a
o APP: 7a-3p, 7a-5p; 3p-11p
• Avg Daily Patients: 82-104
• Daily Patient Load per Clinician: 27-34
• Avg Night Admissions: 11-12 with a high admit night being 16-17
• Code Response: Hospitalist will respond to all codes and rapid responses. Intensivist, in
building 7a-12a to intubate, otherwise it will be the Anesthesia or ED teams.
• Procedures optional, NOT required
• Open ICU Intensivist coverage 7a-12a,
• Pulmonologist support
• Comprehensive specialty backup within TriStar system
• EMR: MediTech
