Locum Tenens Urology Physician Opportunity near Flagstaff, AZ (ASAP - Ongoing)

An exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Urology physician is available near Flagstaff, AZ. This assignment is set to begin ASAP and is ongoing, offering a dynamic mix of clinic, operating room (OR), and procedural duties, along with call coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist seeking flexibility and variety in their work schedule.

Job Overview:

• Shift Details:
  • 3 days of clinic
  • 1 day in the OR
  • 1 day of in-clinic procedures
  • Call Ratio: Every day during the assignment

Available Shifts:

• Day 1: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (1-hour lunch) + night beeper call 5 p.m. - 8 a.m.
• Day 2: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (1-hour lunch) + night beeper call 5 p.m. - 8 a.m.
• Day 3: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (1-hour lunch) + night beeper call 5 p.m. - 8 a.m.
• Day 4: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (1-hour lunch) + night beeper call 5 p.m. - 8 a.m.

Work Details:

• Support Staff: 1 Physician Assistant (PA), no other MDs, Medical Assistants assigned
• Amount of Coverage Needed: Full-time, but will consider 2 weeks per month
• Patients per Day: 20 patients in clinic
• Procedures per Week: 10-15
• Surgeries per Day in OR: 3-4
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
• Hospital Bed Size: 99
• Robotics: No
• Special Procedures: Vasectomy and infant circumcision (outpatient, not required)
• Disposable Flexible Stethoscopes Provided
• Interview Process: Phone interview required

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Urology
• License Required: AZ license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) accepted
• DEA Registration: Required
• CSR: Not required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Urology
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

Compensation:

• Overtime Rate: 1.5x the normal rate
• Overtime Eligibility: Applies after scheduled shifts

Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based with outpatient procedures and scheduled OR time.
