Locums - Texas City, Texas, Emergency Medicine OpeningClinical Role:

  • ASAP - Ongoing Need
  • Shift: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
  • Orientation: 2 Shadow Shifts
  • Procedures including but not limited to: intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube, CPR, suture repair, I&D, central line
  • Support Staff: nurses, on-call specialists
  • Patient Census: 55-60 daily. 2 patients per hour), occasional larger boluses of patients (8+ in an hour)
  • Common Cases: medical complaints (chest pain, abd pain, sob), basic trauma (fall, mvc, sports injury). Rarely severe or penetrating trauma
  • EM physicians typically on staff per shift: 1
  • BC - Emergency Medicine - Residency Trained
