pstrongPosition Summary:/strong The Administrative Assistant, helps to oversee and carry out day-to-day organizational tasks as well as facilitating efficient communication throughout our community. They also assist in answering phones, manage office tasks, scheduling of direct care staff, assist with the inputting of facility data and complete general clerical work and recordkeeping tasks./p

pstrongRequired Experience for Administrative Assistant: /strong/p

liHigh School Diploma or GED preferred./li
liExcellent written and verbal communication skills. /li
liPrevious Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred./li
liPrevious experience as a nursing aide preferred./li
liIf certified, must be a licensed, State Tested Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws./li

liReports to Administrative team. Director of Nursing (DON) / Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)./li

liFlexibility and the ability to prioritize new tasks as they come in./li

liUtilize email according to company standards./li
liSubject to frequent interruptions./li
liInvolved with residents, staff, visitors and vendors/associates under all conditions and circumstances./li
liSubject to potentially upset residents, family members, associates, and visitors./li
liMonday � Friday day hours, however, may have varied working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed./li
liSubject to callback during emergency conditions (severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)./li

pstrongResponsibilities for Administrative Assistant:/strong/p
ul
liLeads and provide 1440 care./li
liGreeting visitors, assisting with infection control check in standards./li
liAnswering phone calls. Taking and delivering messages if needed./li
liSorting and distribution of mail./li
liAct as an Ambassador for those rooms assigned./li
liScheduling of wellness staff according to staffing guidelines and/or acuity needs set by Director of Nursing./li
liInterviews with potential new wellness staff, also assists with H.R. tasks such as onboarding, paperwork, employee files etc./li
liAnswer resident call signals as warranted./li
liAssists with and helping to maintain nursing storage and restocking. Alerting the DON to low supplies if noted./li
liHelp maintain the personal dignity of each resident by ensuring privacy and treating them with respect. Understand and follow the Resident Bill of Rights./li
liGreet newly moved-in residents on admission and escort them to their room as necessary./li
liComplete Nurse Aide flow sheet during shift and according to instructions using only authorized abbreviations./li
liFollow universal precautions and isolation procedures for infection control. Wash hands at beginning of the shift, between residents, if C.N.A. or C.M.A., before assisting in the dining room, with activities, and after assisting with elimination�even if wearing gloves. /li
liInventory and mark resident�s personal possessions as needed./li
liReport occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals immediately./li
liMaintain all service areas in clean and orderly condition and keep halls clear of equipment./li
liReport all accidents or incidents observed immediately to the appropriate person./li
liReport suspected abuse immediately./li
liWork scheduled shift, but also provides flexibility, and is open to helping other shifts if needed./li
liMaintain knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures./li
liIs knowledgeable of and abides by all company policies and procedures./li
liAttends community staff meetings, in-service programs, safety courses, and other required meetings online through Education platform and in person./li
liStays up to date on departmental communications./li
liIf C.N.A. or C.M.A. follows job description of direct care wellness staff applicable job description./li
liObtain chauffeurs license within 6 months of employment. /li
liAssist with transportation of residents as needed. /li
liPerform other duties as assigned./li

pThis position entails standing and/or sitting for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required./p
