Radiology Tech PRN - Part-time

pspanDESCRIPTION/span/p ul liTo perform Radiographic X-Rays and assists Radiologist with Fluoroscopy and other special procedures as required.br/li liMaintain and cares for equipment and supplies used in each specialty area of the department./li liMaintains X-Ray equipment to include periodic cleaning and general Preventative maintenance schedules.br/li liUses the c-arm and portable equipment in a safe, effective manner, without supervision, and without doing harm to the patient.br/li liEmployee demonstrates knowledge and responsibility for the effective and safe use of all equipment in his/her activities.br/li liDemonstrates a consistent level of performance, strives to maintain a steady level of productivity.br/li liThe flexibility to be cross-trained into other areas such as ultrasound, CT and take call and work over time as needed. Work the shift that is assigned.br/li liEmployee participates in education and training to improve their knowledge and skills related to the Patient population served.br/li liWill follow the ALARA rule in all areas of Radiology.br/li liWill be familiar with all preps done.br/li liDemonstrates proper response and reliability for on call coverage.br/li liTransport Patients, performs film library and clerical duties as needed.br/li liIs knowledgeable in the practice of sterile technique so as to prevent contamination.br/li liIdentifies each patient, reviews each patients requisition for consistency of exam ordered with clinical diagnosis and demographic information.br/li liRecords pertinent patient information on all request./li /ul pbr/p pspanPOSITION REQUIREMENTS/span/p ul liCurrent license in the State of Georgia as a Radiology Technologist by the ARRT or registry eligible./li liAbility and willingness to cross-train into various Radiology related modalities./li liCertified by the ARRT in Radiology/li liEmployee must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. And over with the help of co-workers. Will be required to help patients both on and off exam table./li liTwisting, bending, pushing, stretching and pulling are all frequently done during an 8 hour work day.
