pResponsibilities for Respiratory Therapist/p ul liPerform assessments and diagnostic procedures to determine patient treatment needs/li liMake recommendations for respiratory care and treatment/li liPerform treatment procedures according to patient needs/li liModify care plan based on patient progress and treatment effectiveness/li liOperate, maintain, and repair respiratory equipment to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and operation/li liComply with all outlined safety and health standards/li liDocument patient's respiratory care/li liEducate the patient, family, and team on respiratory problems and treatment/li /ul pQualifications for Respiratory Therapist/p ul liAssociate's Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program/li liCurrent Registered Respiratory Therapist license in state of practice/li li1 year of experience in respiratory therapy/li liWorking knowledge of respiratory equipment and medical supplies/li liStrong leadership skills and a professional attitude/li liExcellent interpersonal skills/li liAbility to manage the emotional stress of working with and caring for terminally ill patients/families/li liFamiliar with safety and confidentiality standards/li liComfortable working independently/li /ul
