Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5 years of experience, prior travel experience, and a valid CA RN license.

Details
  • Work in the Emergency Department of a community hospital setting
  • Trauma Level II hospital environment
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (must be AHA or ARC issued)
  • Minimum 5 years of ER RN experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE
  • Two supervisory references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler; former manager's name will be required
  • RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
  • Only 1 holiday may be requested off per contract; covered holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
  • Holiday coverage windows begin at 7:00 PM the evening before and end at 7:00 AM the day after each holiday
  • A 7-year work history verification is required
