Job Description\nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry experience, CPI certification, and a SC or compact RN license for night shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n- Work is performed on a Medical/Surgical inpatient unit
- Unit cares for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required
- Telemetered environment with Cerner EMR in use
- No on-call hours required
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Responsible for initial and ongoing patient assessment and documentation
- Delivers age-appropriate, compassionate patient care based on assessment
- Participation in admission assessments is required according to policy
- Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this role
- Two manager or supervisor references from the last twelve months preferred, at least one from the most recent employer
- COVID and flu vaccination required if not medically contraindicated
- Scrubs or dress code requirements will be specified upon assignment
- Active SC or compact state RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital nursing experience as an RN
- At least 6 months of recent telemetry experience required
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
- Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- CPI certification (NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training) required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- BSN is highly desired
