The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment. The technologist ensures patient safety, maintains radiation protection standards, and supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Operate Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic imaging equipment. \n
- Analyze patient body habitus and adjust technical imaging factors accordingly. \n
- Properly position patients to obtain accurate diagnostic images. \n
- Review physician orders and obtain relevant clinical information prior to exams. \n
- Produce high-quality radiographs while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff. \n
- Assist physicians during procedures including: \n
- \n
- Room preparation \n
- Equipment setup \n
- Contrast administration monitoring \n
- Managing contrast reactions and emergency codes \n
\n - Schedule and complete imaging examinations efficiently. \n
- Accurately document procedures and enter correct charge codes. \n
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and imaging protocols. \n

- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required. \n
- Trauma and Stroke imaging experience required. \n
- Associate's Degree or equivalent. \n
- Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology Program. \n
- \n
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification — Required \n
- Current Washington, DC State/District License — Required \n
- BLS Certification (AHA) — Required \n
- \n
- Strong patient care and communication skills. \n
- Ability to work in fast-paced acute care environments. \n
- Experience assisting in emergency and critical imaging situations preferred. \n
