pstrongPosition Purpose:/strong Our Bakers will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the Bakery department.nbsp;A Baker has a keen eye for Food Safety and Sanitation and will be able to help in production and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service./p pnbsp;/p pstrongResponsibilities:nbsp;/strongA Baker is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service./p piA Baker’s responsibilities include:/i/p ul liMixing, weighing, proofing, baking, frying, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas’ recipes./li liLoading and unloading the oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of product,/li liScaling cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc./li liAssisting in the ordering and receiving of bakery products and supplies./li liControlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink and supplies./li liUsing scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct./li liUnderstanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage./li liKeeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers./li liHelping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety./li liDisplaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines./li liHelping decorators with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls and etc./li liAll other related duties as assigned/li /ul pstrongEmployees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period:/strong/p pStanding, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending/p pnbsp;/p pstrongPerks amp; Benefits/strong/p ul liCompetitive compensation, paid weekly/li liRetirement Benefits/li liMedical, dental, and vision insurance for yourself and eligible dependents/li liTuition Reimbursement for qualified courses/li liScholarship opportunities for continued education/li liStore discount programs (10% off household groceries)/li liFun work environment where you have the opportunity to nourish your communitynbsp;/li /ul pstrongMust be 18 years of age.
