Recreation/Wellness Coordinator - Full-time

h2Overview/h2 pThe Wellness Coordinator is responsible for meeting the social and therapeutic needs of the residents through activities, wellness interventions, leisure programming, and continued interaction with community groups.  /p h2Responsibilities/h2 pCompletes the wellness assigned portion of the assessment process.  Provides relevant daily events and programming to meet the needs of the residents./p h2Qualifications/h2 pQualifications Required/p ul liHigh School Diploma or equivalent/li liValid Driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate/li liAcceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements/li liIf the person holding this position leads the program they must meet qualifications as required by federal regulations §483.15(f)(2) The activities program must be directed by a qualified professional who-- ul liIs a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who-- ul liIs licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; and /li liIs eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or /li /ul/li liHas 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or/li liIs a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or /li liHas completed a training course approved by the State./li /ul/li /ul pQualifications Preferred/p ul liIn good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry./li liBLS Certification./li liFirst Aid certification./li liExperience in long term care./li /ul p /p p /p pEEO/AA/Vet Friendly/p h2Salary Range/h2$23.07 - $24.86 h2Benefits Statement/h2 pA robust benefits package is available to eligible associates, designed to meet the needs of every stage of life, including paid time off (PTO), retirement, medical, dental, vision, education assistance, and a variety of additional voluntary benefits.  For more information visit our website at www.benedictineliving.org./p h2Additional Information/h2 pAdditional Requirment: Successfully passing DOT physical/p p /p p1.0 FTE, 80 hours/2 weeks/p p /p pEvery 5th holiday every 5th weekend rotation /p p /p p/p p /p pYour final wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
