We employ customer-driven individuals that are dedicated to enhancing our warm and inviting farm-fresh shopping experience./ppbr//ppstrongWho are we looking for?/strong/ppWilson Farm is hiring a emfull-time /emstrongAssistant Manager to join our Garden Shop team. /strongThis position starts at $22/hr commensurate with experience.nbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongPrimary Responsibilities/strong/pp· Assist customers in our busy garden shop and yard area with their questions and selecting plants and associated seasonal products/pp· Plant ordering ahead of seasons to ensure outstanding selections available to customers/pp· Plant maintenance: watering, feeding, clean up etc./pp· Merchandising plants, garden shop to encourage sales/pp· General clean up of greenhouse, shop and yard area to maintain neat appearance/ppbr//ppstrongExperience/Qualifications Needed/strong/pp· Prior experience and working knowledge of plant material (annual, perennial, house plants) and associated gardening products required/pp· Certificate or degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscaping a plus!/pp· Retail/cashiering experience desirable/pp· Outstanding customer service skills, excellent work ethic/pp· Enthusiastic, outgoing personality; positive attitude/pp· Reliable/punctual - reliable transportation/pp· Excellent communications skills - answering the phone and in person/pp· Must be at least 18 years of age to hold this position/ppbr//ppstrongWork Schedule/strong/pp· Full-time (45-50 hours/week)./pp· Schedule will be a mix of “opening” and “closing” schedules on weekdays and weekend days/pp· Holiday periods will require more hours and flexibility in schedule (which is greatly appreciated) to meet business needs./ppbr//ppstrongPhysical requirements/strong/pp· Standing/bending/reaching for prolonged periods of time/pp· Must be able to lift approx.30-40+lb bagged goods (soils and fertilizers) and additional products such as bundled firewood, ice melt/pp· Up/down stairs/pp· Working in both hot summer and cold winter conditions/ppbr//ppstrongBenefits:/strong/pp· Competitive wages commensurate with experience./pp· Health and Dental insurance with generous premium contribution by Wilson Farm/pp· 401 (k) plan with employer match/pp· 25% employee discount/pp· Friendly, customer-driven environment/pp· Paid time off/ppbr//ppWilson Farm, Inc. is an E/O/E./p
