Good News Home Inc. – Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Facility

Good News Home Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women in recovery. Our facility serves up to 12 women at a time, providing residential short-term, long-term, and aftercare services.


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Monitor to work directly with our clients, ensuring their daily needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. This role also plays a vital part in assisting clinical staff and maintaining the integrity of our treatment program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct house checks every two hours to ensure clients are actively engaged in program activities or otherwise productively occupied.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients to group meetings, church services, and other required activities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed daily log entries, documenting client concerns and behavioral observations.
  • Promptly report any issues regarding clients to the Clinical Staff, including transmitting daily incident reports via email.
  • Administer scheduled drug tests in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Participate in staff training sessions and meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide verbal shift reports to incoming staff for seamless transition and continuity of care.
  • Ensure adherence to all house rules, maintaining a structured and therapeutic living environment.
  • Conduct intake checklist procedures for new admissions, ensuring proper orientation and support.
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a group home environment
  • Two (2) years of substance abuse and/or mental health experience is helpful
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and boundaries
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals with respect.
  • Proficient in office software including Word, Excel, and Internet use.
