Join a collaborative and progressive team in Abilene, Texas, where you'll help build and support a thriving trauma and acute care surgery program at a Level III trauma center equipped with cutting-edge technology and 14 state-of-the-art operating rooms.Position Highlights:

Full-time, permanent position
Work schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 24-hour shifts
2-surgeon model with advanced practice provider (APP) support
12 hours primary call, followed by 12 hours of back-up call (no in-house requirement for back-up)
Moderate trauma volume with a wide variety of cases
Responsibilities include:
Evaluation of trauma and emergency general surgery consults
Inpatient rounding
Outpatient follow-ups in clinic

Supported by experienced APPs and OR staff

Minimal billing and coding responsibilitiesCandidate Requirements:

MD or DO
Board certified in General Surgery
Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care or Trauma Surgery
Eligible or willing to obtain a Texas medical license
