American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13–26 week contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience and active ARRT or RCIS certification.

- Acute care hospital setting with a dedicated cardiac catheterization lab — no IR coverage required \n
- Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds \n
- Patient population includes middle and older adults \n
- Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, rotablader atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure devices, and scrub procedures \n
- Charting performed in Cerner (experience required) \n
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM \n
- Candidates will work 2–3 weekends per contract \n
- On-call is required on a rotating basis with staff and agency; call frequency is flexible based on census and to be discussed with the manager \n
- Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers \n

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting \n
- Active ARRT or RCIS certification required \n
- Active BLS and ACLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted) \n
- Active professional license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable) \n
- Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, rotablader atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, and scrub procedures \n
- Experience with equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, sterile technique, and isolation precautions \n
- Cerner EMR experience required \n
- SSN and DOB required for consideration \n

- Contract length is flexible at 13 or 26 weeks \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction \n
- RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval \n
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays \n
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler \n
- Travel pairs are not accepted \n
- Scrubs are provided \n
- Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation \n
