Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
\n• 13-26 week assignment duration
\n• Weekend requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible)
\n• Patient ratios vary per acuity: 1:4 for surgical step down, 1:5-6 for lower acuity
\n• Will follow unit rotation for floating - not first to float
\n• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Minimum 2 years cardiac floor experience required
\n• Travel experience required unless candidate has more than 24 months cardiac experience
\n• Required skills: Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, Post MI care, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Cardiac drip management and titration, Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac), External CPAP/BIPAP
\n• Preferred skills: Arterial line management, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Charge Experience
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Cardiomyopathy, and various cardiac conditions
\n• Work with special equipment including Doppler, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, and Epicardial pacing wires
\n• Use EPIC documentation system and Pyxis medication system
\n• Navy scrubs required
\n• 24 hours orientation provided
\n• Must be available for Storm/Hurricane Team assignments
\n• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
\n• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start
