Job Description

Are You the Enforcer We Need?

Our company is seeking a strong, no-nonsense Operational Manager who is not afraid to hold staff accountable every single day. If you're highly organized, direct, firm but fair—and you don’t tolerate excuses—this is your opportunity to lead and take full charge of operations at a Community Living Arrangement (CLA) that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

This role requires someone who will show up, speak up, and straighten things up. You’ll oversee daily shifts, ensure every employee is working their assigned hours, verify that every file is in compliance, and conduct weekly chart reviews—while leading with authority and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Staff Oversight: Monitor and confirm that staff are clocking in/out properly, present for their shifts, and fulfilling all assigned duties.

  • Accountability Enforcement: Address lateness, absences, and performance issues immediately and directly—no hand-holding, no repeated reminders.

  • File & Documentation Review: Ensure all staff files, client charts, and daily logs are complete, current, and audit-ready. Review charts weekly.

  • Training & Compliance: Make sure all team members are trained, certified, and following policies. Schedule and enforce training requirements (CPR, First Aid, CPI, etc.).

  • Administrative Coordination: Maintain schedules, conduct walkthroughs, support emergency responses, and coordinate communications across teams.

  • Operational Leadership: Implement new procedures, improve workflows, and run the program like a business—efficient, timely, and on point.

  • Behavioral Program Support: Oversee staff working with clients who have complex behaviors and mental health needs. Ensure staff are following behavior plans and de-escalation techniques.

Requirements

  • Managerial Experience in home care, mental health, disability services, or a similar high-responsibility field

  • Strong leadership personality—you set the tone, demand excellence, and follow through

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and tracking staff hours/schedules

  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary

  • CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications (or willingness to complete upon hire)

  • Extremely detail-oriented with a sharp eye for paperwork and deadlines

  • Comfortable working independently and making tough decisions

Who You Are

  • You don’t need to be told twice what needs to be done—you already did it.

  • You run a tight ship, keep people on track, and demand accountability.

  • You’re solution-focused, confident, and not afraid to correct staff on the spot.

  • You bring structure, strategy, and results—not chaos or compromise.

Ready to Take Control?

Our company needs someone who doesn’t wait for permission to lead. If you’re the kind of Operational Manager who calls out what’s wrong and fixes it fast, this is the role for you. Apply now and help us deliver the consistent, compliant, and compassionate care our clients deserve—by holding our team to the highest standard, every day.
