Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit position requiring at least one year of experience, with a preference for candidates with charge nurse experience.

  • Work in an Ortho/Trauma Unit within an acute care hospital setting
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
  • \n
  • 13-week contract

Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA certifications only accepted
  • \n
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Charge nurse experience highly preferred
  • \n
  • SD (Step Down) and MS (Med/Surg) experience required
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
  • \n
  • Full DOB required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products
  • \n
  • Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • \n
  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions, treatment changes, and physician orders
  • \n
  • Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
  • \n
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • \n
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total service before being eligible for a new contract
  • \n
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical documentation) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
