American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Direct Observation Unit (Telemetry) position at a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic experience and an active IL RN license.
Details\n- \n
- Day shift position: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week \n
- Medical observation unit (T6) within a hospital setting \n
- Float to similar units as required \n
- Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule \n
- Every other holiday coverage required \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n

- Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted) \n
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required \n
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- Level 1 Trauma experience required \n
- IV site assessment and IV insertion skills required \n
- ASN required; BSN preferred \n
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position \n

- Responsibilities include completing patient admissions assessments, developing and modifying individualized plans of care, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation \n
- IV site assessments required every 4 hours; new IV insertions performed per facility policy \n
- Documentation standards must be maintained as evidenced by passing quarterly chart audits \n
- Attendance at 5 out of 6 staff meetings per year is required \n
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any facility within the system \n
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract \n
