Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a 12-week travel contract at a hospital and trauma center in Janesville, WI, requiring ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications.

Details
  • Acute care hospital and trauma center setting
  • Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
  • Call rotation required
  • Performs MRI procedures across a range of diagnostic imaging examinations
  • Uses MRI systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment
  • Utilizes radiology information systems including PACS for image archiving and submission
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
  • Prior experience as an MRI Technologist required
  • Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications required
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Perform MRI procedures and produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation under the order of a licensed medical practitioner
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and perform venipuncture to establish and maintain venous access
  • Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risk to patients, staff, and others
  • Select appropriate pulse sequences based on established protocols and clinical factors
  • Assist physicians with interventional procedures as needed
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and manipulate or reconstruct digital data for display and physician review
  • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team and may participate in committees or departmental projects
  • May be required to flex hours or shifts to support departmental needs
