p class="MsoNormal"Provides occupational therapy services to assigned groups of patients by performing the following duties./p
p class="MsoNormal"bEssential Functions /b/p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Implements patients care needs based on the Occupational Therapy evaluation and establishes professional rapport with patients to achieve desired patient outcomes./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Establishes an environment of care and compassion to provide emotional, psychological and physical support to patients and families./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Promotes patient independence by performing therapy techniques and teachings for patient and family to gain physical independence through self-care tasks and functional mobility./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Assures quality patient care by adhering to established best-practices and standards of care, measuring functional outcomes, making changes to the patients plan of care as needed, following our hospital philosophies, standards of practice and standards of care set forth by the Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy/p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Assists in resolution of patient concerns through use of multidisciplinary team strategies./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with the procedures, rules, and regulations set forth by this facility; requests assistance from other staff when needed to accomplish this./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Documents patient care services accurately and promptly utilizing the electronic medical record/p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by keeping information confidential/p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Ensures operation of equipment by following manufactures recommendations/instructions, reporting need for repair, evaluating new equipment and techniques for use./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains needed supplied by monitoring stock levels for future use and needs, using supplies and equipment as needed to perform job duties/p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continued education, review of professional publications and participating in learning opportunities provided by this facility./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains a collaborative relationship with team members by communicating information, responding to requests, reviewing information sent via emails, building rapport with team members through participation in inter-disciplinary problem techniques such as briefs, debriefs, patient safety huddle and executive patient safety rounding./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Demonstrates the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw reasonable/valid conclusions regarding patient care./p
p class="MsoNoSpacing"Maintains competencies based on the departmental specific skills checklist./p
