Providing customer service, physical security checks, and investigating suspicious or unsafe circumstances. Heavy public contact, including potentially dangerous or suspicious individuals. 100% field facing./p pMain Responsibilities:/p ul liPatrol sales floor and parking areas to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity./li liMonitor CCTV systems to identify any suspicious behavior or security threats./li liProvide assistance to customers and employees as needed, including responding to medical emergencies or customer disputes./li liEnforce store policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly environment./li liWork closely with store management and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and incidents./li liComplete detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or activities./li liParticipate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance security knowledge and skills./li liProvide security field operations in a proactive, effective manner with an emphasis on customer service./li liMaintain engagement on security priorities at all times./li liProvide effective responses to security related activities, incidents, inquires, suspicious circumstances and emergencies./li liCoordinate with Security Leadership on expectations, priorities, and implement solutions as needed./li liEnsure all security assignments are executed at all times./li liCoordinate and communicate effectively with the leadership on site./li liLine management-blocking off hazardous areas, directing traffic./li liCreate professional, well written incident reports for all security incidents./li /ul pWork Environment:/p ul liAbility to prioritize work in a fast-paced organization, coordinating and managing multiple tasks./li liDemonstrated ability to ensure compliance of standards and training./li liStrong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills./li liAbility to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment./li liAbility to work at times with minimal supervision./li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for communication effectively with all levels of/li liJob operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors./li liPosition requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities./li liWork various shifts and Holidays as assigned./li /ul pRequirements:/p ul liActive or retired Police Officer./li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills./li liAbility to remain calm and composed in stressful situations./li liExcellent observational skills and attention to detail./li liPrior security experience is preferred but not required./li liFlexibility to work a variety of shifts, weekends, and holidays./li liHigh School Diploma, with some college credits, (preferably bachelorrsquo;s degree), or equivalent combination of education and work experience./li liMinimum of 5 yearsrsquo; experience in security, customer service, or a closely related role./li liStrong computer and systems skills, including office software, access management, CCTV, alarm systems, and incident reporting./li liMust be 21 years of age./li liValid Driverrsquo;s License/li liValid Armed NJnbsp;Security License/li liPermit to Carry a Handgun/li liSpeak, read, and write English./li liMust possess above average computer skills and must hold all necessary and required licenses, permits and certifications required by the of assignment to perform security officer duties./li liPass a background check/li liPass a 5-panel drug test/li liCPR Certification, we help get you certified/li /ul pstrongVeterans/strong/p pInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
