Utility Person - Sands of Kahana - Full-time

pDescription/ppstrongROLE/strong/ppA Utility is responsible for assisting and supporting the housekeeping department. They are expected to deliver excellent service to our teams and our guest./ppbr//ppstrongRESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliArriving on time for all scheduled shifts in proper uniform, including nametags and with a great Smile./liliSeize radio and assignment sheet every morning/liliReview assignment sheet and update completed assignments/liliClean carpet in assigned guestrooms/liliRemove stains, scuff marks, and dust from baseboards, ledges and corners./liliPolish, restore, seal, finish amp; maintain all flooring./liliComplete extraction and spotting of carpets/liliPlace odor machine in units when needed/liliRepair amp; maintain vacuums/liliWash bonnet pads daily/liliUse various machines such as carpet extractors, scrubbers (ride-on, walk-behind, and bonnets), burnishes, floor machines and spotting machines./liliSweep and mop all assigned area staircase, elevators, glass doors and vending machines removing debris (paper, gum, cigarettes, etc.)./liliEnsure security of hotel property, by door being locked./liliUse proper safety protocol when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneath./liliConduct bio-hazard clean-up./liliHandle guest/ owners complaints by ensuring guest satisfaction/liliTurn in radio and worksheet at the end of the day/liliEnsure preventive care of equipment and supplies/liliComplete all special assignments including deep cleans, but not limited to clean ceiling fans, air conditioning vent grids, spot clean walls and door frames, for all guestrooms, remove dust, spots, and smears from mirrors, ledges, and frames , stains and marks from all baseboards, ledges, and corners./liliAdhere to all appearance and uniform standards/liliMaintain an open line of communication with the department/liliReport all facility issues/liliComply with all safety protocol/liliAssist in receiving supply/liliOperate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas./liliMust be able to maintain mobility and work in varying temperatures (Indoors and Outdoors)/liliAbility to accept performance feedback in a professional manner./li/ulpRequirements/ppstrongREQUIREMENTS:/strong/pulliSix (6) months experience of previous experience working on floor surfaces using buffing and including scrubbers or similar equipment./liliBasic knowledge on handling devices and radios./liliAbility to work flexible shifts including nights, holiday and weekends./liliAt least 18 years of age./liliCapability to understand fundamental English./liliWorking knowledge of chemicals/ cleaning supplies including Safety Data Sheet and OSHA regulations, preferable./li/ulpstrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:/strong/pulliAbility to bend, kneeling and stretching most of the working day./liliAble to stand and walk for extended periods of time./liliAble to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration and air quality./liliAbility to push/pull up to 50 pounds constantly./li/ulpTeam members are not limited to the above mentioned job description and may be requested to do additional tasks as directed by Management Team./ppstrongEEO/Drug Free Workplace/strong/p
