pThe basic function of a Service Writer is to ensure efficient service delivery of vessel maintenance; the Service Writer receives, tracks and updates customers on the status of maintenance requests through completion. Furthermore, the Service Writer advances tasks/projects as delegated which are deemed necessary and prudent to the service writing function. The position assumes a quasi-supervisory responsibility only in the absence of department management./p

liCompose work order to be distributed to appropriate work area;/li
liCollaborate with mechanics on progress and provide updates to customers as necessary;/li
