pstrongDuties Responsibilities:/strong/p table width="636" tbody tr td pØ  Maintains a courteous, cooperative, and professional environment for patrons, co-workers, and general public/p pØ  Follows established guidelines for grooming, uniform, and operating policies and procedures outlined in the General Handbook and Department SOPs and maintain those guidelines throughout the shift./p pØ  Maintains cleanliness of the work areas in the department./p pØ  Ensures proper ride operating procedures and guest loading/ unloading positions./p pØ  Participates in biweekly CPR and skills check offs with specified team members./p pØ  Participates in weekly in-service training programs./p pØ  Maintains lifeguard licensure with Ellis and Associates ILTP through provided means./p pØ  Performs job functions within all policies and procedures as noted in the handbooks./p pØ  Ensures proper use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment./p pØ  Communicates with Operations Supervisor regarding daily operations in the department./p /td /tr /tbody /table pstrong /strong/p pstrongOther Job Functions/strong/p ul liPerforms other duties as required./li /ul pstrong /strong/p pstrongPreferred Prerequisites / Qualifications:/strong/p pPersonal Attributes:/p ul liSelf Motivated/li liGreat Customer Service including conflict resolution and the ability to remain calm/li liDetail oriented/li liIntegrity and Trustworthiness/li liPersonable, Fun and Friendly/li liOptimistic Attitude/li liTeam Player who is committed to building a team that functions in unison to reach their goals/li /ul pstrong /strong/p pSkills:/p ul liProven entry level guest service ability/li liExcellent verbal and written communication/li liDecision Making skills/li liMust be able to pass ILTP swimming prerequisites: ul li200 yard swim, 2 minute tread without use of hands, retrieve 10 pound brick using a feet first service dive from a maximum depth of 10 feet/li /ul /li liObtain and maintain a minimum licensure as a Special Facilities Lifeguard with Ellis and Associates ILTP./li /ul pstrong /strong/p pPhysical Requirements:/p ul liMust be able to work inside and outside with constant sitting, standing, walking, vision, hearing, and talking and fine motor skills./li liMust be able to reach forward and above shoulder height, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching./li liMust be able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 25 pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds with the aid of other team members./li liMust be able to climb stairs./li /ul p /p pEnvironmental Factors:/p ul liThe primary work location will include the outdoors and sometimes office environment. On occasion, the employee will be required to be in the pool participating or assisting with training classes or audits./li liIn these environments the employee will be exposed to dirt and dust, extreme temperatures, noise and vibration, and occasional wetness and humidity./li liThere is potential for exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens when treating medical emergencies. Personal protective equipment is available and required/li /ul
