Bartender - Part-time

pstrongSpecific Job Functions:/strong/p ul liGreet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail order/li liPrepare and serve cocktails to customers following hotel guidelines/li liClean and organize bar to beverage department standards/li liPrepare order to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levels/li liProvide exceptional service to customers/li liPrepare and serve cocktails to customers following hotel guidelines/li liFollow departmental cash handling policies and procedures/li liPrepare cocktails for cocktail server/li liMaintain high standards of service/li liMaintain bar cleanliness and polish glassware/li liClean and organize work station to beverage and health department standards/li liBe able to perform a task that requires standing and/or moving at a fast pace for periods of up to eight hours or longer/li liKnowledge of wine and champagne service at table games/li liWork station must be maintained and left stocked and cleaned for next shift/li liGarnish drinks/li liEnsure correct health and sanitation practices are followed/li liEnsure the correct glassware/stemware is used according to Beverage Department standards/li liGreet each guest with a smile/li liAcknowledge every guest with a prompt and friendly greeting/li liHandle cash, credit cards and room charges in accordance with departmental policies/li liAssist new employees with training and answering questions/li liCheck ID's if the guest appears to be under 30/li liReplace dirty ashtrays by capping off ashtrays with a clean ashtray/li liReact to the needs of management for special host requests/li liInform management of any problems or concerns/li liBe ethical and professional at all times/li liCommunicate with Management to keep them informed of all special requests from a guest/li liAnswer telephone using proper telephone etiquette standards/li liPerform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department/li /ul p /p pstrongResponsibilities/Qualifications:/strong/p ul liMinimum one year bartending experience in a high-volume hotel / restaurant required./li liUnion Crafts (Pour) Card required/li liPleasing personality and ability to communicate with customers/li liCommunicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms/li liKnowledge of ABC laws/li liProfessional appearance and demeanor a must/li /ul
