Practices proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies and procedures./li liAssists the Safety Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness. The EMT Safety Officer is the highest trained medical response officer within the Safety Department./li liMakes scheduled rounds across the community, both inside and outside the buildings, to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property, employees, as well as company property. Medical bag/A.E.D. should always accompany EMT Safety Officer making rounds./li liReceives all persons who enter the Community at the Safety Kiosk in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff or vendors tactfully and congenially to protect and present the best possible image of the Community./li liAssists with daily door monitoring checks, maintains departmental emergency equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning, ensures compliance with policies procedures and reports all discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Director./li liRegularly maintain contact/communication with other Safety personnel during the course of the shift./li liThe EMT Safety Officer is required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service/hospitality to all internal and external customers at all times. Ability to use good judgment and stay calm during an emergency. Previous experience with security, safety and/or medical/emergency response preferred./li liAbility to understand and follow instructions in English required.
