Performs duties on an on-call as needed basis to fill in for the Gas/Plumbing Inspectors in their absence./p pstrongMinimum Qualifications:/strong/p pHigh school diploma with five years experience as a journeyman plumber/gasfitter; or any equivalent combination of education and experience./p pMassachusetts Journeyman Plumbers and Gasfitters license required./p pClass D drivers license required./p pstrongAdditional Qualifications:/strong/p pThorough knowledge of gas fitting theory and practices, and of state and local laws relating to gas work. Thorough knowledge of all natural and liquefied petroleum gases. Knowledge of the principles of hydraulic, mechanical and sanitary engineering as they apply to plumbing installations. Ability to read plans and prepare necessary diagrams. Ability to interpret and enforce regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially. Ability to maintain complete and accurate inspection records and to prepare reports.
