This role will also serve to assist shop operations by performing a variety of tasks associated with maintenance of the shop location, including cleaning and organizing various pieces of equipment and tools./p p /p pstrongESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: /strong/p ul liResponsible for performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer./li liVisually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area. Promptly notify the General Manager or assigned technician should any defects or issues be found upon inspection./li liResponsible for assisting in the general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds./li liInspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards./li liMay serve to ensure that test equipment is calibrated and working correctly./li liConsistently utilizes all required safety equipment, adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal and participate in monthly safety meetings./li liMaintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas./li liIdentifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes./li /ul pPerform any cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, as well as collecting and emptying trash cans daily. Service, clean, and supply any items in restrooms./p ul liMake minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb./li /ul p /p pstrongQUALIFICATIONS: /strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or equivalent /li liValid Driver�s License and good driving record is necessary/li liPrior experience in automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required /li liExcellent verbal communication and mechanical skills /li liAbility to work independently and in a fast-paced environment /li liWillingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations team/li liAbility to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle/li /ul p /p pThis position description is intended to be dynamic and subject to change.
