div h4Job Details/h4 divstrongJob Location/strong: nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Benning Hills Head Start - Columbus, GA/div divstrongSalary Range/strong: nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;$11.32 - $11.32 Hourly/div /div h4Description/h4pJob Summary:br / Incumbent assists the classroom teacher in providing service in meeting the Individualized Education Plan goals of a child with a disability.br / Major Responsibilities/Activities:br / bull; Collaborate with Disability/Mental Health Specialist to identify children with disabilities.br / bull; Participate on the Multidisciplinary Individualized Education Program (IEP) Committee.br / bull; Attend scheduled IEP Committee Meetings.br / bull; Provide one-on-one support to children with disabilities in all settings.br / bull; Implement IEP goals, following teacher established lesson plans.br / bull; Assist teaching staff with observation records of the children they are assigned.br / bull; Assist teaching staff with lesson plan activities for the children that they are assigned.br / bull; Rotate within a center, working with children in different classrooms.br / bull; Provide support to classroom teaching staff to maintain ratio of 20:2 for four year olds and 17:2 for three year olds.br / bull; Assist teaching staff with diapering and potty training.br / bull; Perform other duties assigned./p h4Qualifications/h4brpMinimum Requirements:br / bull; Minimum High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).br / bull; Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.br / bull; Minimum one year experience with children three to five years of agebr / bull; Ability to read and implement strategies as outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPrsquo;s) for childrenbr / bull; An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.br / Essential Mental Functions:br / bull; Ability to demonstrate good communication, problem solving and planning and facilitation skills.br / Essential Physical Functions: Incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, climb, balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.br / Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
