Maintenance Laborers typically perform an assortment of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing plants, installing pine straw/mulch, digging, and raking. /p pstrongCore Values /strong/p ol liCulture of Safety – Safety is always job #1 /li liA Growing Tradition Plants, Personally, Financially and Professionally /li liEmployee Owned – Personal Pride in Success with an Owners Mentality /li liExceptional Customer Experience – Delighting our Clients with our Products and Services /li liGood Neighbors – Community Pride – Sharing our Success /li liRespectability – Treating Others as we want to be treated /li /ol pstrongSupervisory Responsibilities /strong/p ul li pNone /p /li /ul pstrongDuties/Responsibilities /strong/p ul liProjects and job tasks are to include but are not limited to, working in inclement weather, home trash pickup, flower planting, laying of sod, fertilizing, chemical applications, planting trees and shrubs, landscape construction, irrigation maintenance, storm cleanup, shop cleanup, equipment maintenance, documentation, street cleaning, pond maintenance, holiday decorating, working from heights /li liCheck high-priority areas daily for debris, blowing needs, weeds, or anything that is unsightly or out of place /li liFully fuel up all equipment at the end of each workday /li liBefore operating equipment, check for safety, fuel, oil level, tire air pressure, and any other fine-tuning before use /li liDaily activities may consist of mowing with various types of mowers including zero turn and push mowers /li liUse of string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and chainsaws, among a large variety of maintenance tools /li liProperly applicate fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals /li liComplete work in a timely, fine-tuned manner /li liJobsites are to be left in a normal, safe, and clean status /li liHigh-quality service is always expected /li liAssist and contribute regularly on projects, at any moment, in any area, as deemed necessary by the department manager or assistant manager /li liAdhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties /li liPerforms other duties as assigned /li /ulh4Qualifications/h4brpstrongRequired Skills/Abilities /strong/p ul liMows and trims lawns, using a hand mower or power mower /li liTrims shrubs and improves gardens /li liClean grounds, using rakes and hoses /li liMay use landscaping tools or operate heavy equipment as needed /li liAdhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties /li /ul pstrongEducation and Experience /strong/p ul liHigh school graduate or equivalent desired /li liPrevious outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills a must /li liCandidate must have experience in operating a locator, wiring and re-wiring irrigation clocks and programming decoders /li /ul pstrongPhysical Requirements /strong/p ul liThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
