Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order and operated in a safe manner./li liMaintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain assigned mechanical area. Fabricate and maintain ICRA consistent with UPMC policy and standards./li liPerform all work following infection control procedures. Completion of a recognized course in institutional refrigeration and air conditioning may be substituted year for year for apprenticeship and experience, or equivalent, such as on-the-job training. Must have working knowledge of plumbing, steam fitting and sheet metal work. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medication is stored.
