Maintenance Laborers typically perform an assortment of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing plants, installing pine  /p pstraw/mulch, digging, and raking. /p p /p pCore Values /p ol li pCulture of Safety – Safety is always job #1 /p /li /ol ol li pA Growing Tradition Plants, Personally, Financially and Professionally /p /li /ol ol li pEmployee Owned – Personal Pride in Success with an Owners Mentality /p /li /ol ol li pExceptional Customer Experience – Delighting our Clients with our Products and Services /p /li /ol ol li pGood Neighbors – Community Pride – Sharing our Success /p /li /ol ol li pRespectability – Treating Others as we want to be treated /p /li /ol p /p pSupervisory Responsibilities /p ul li pNone /p /li /ul p /p pDuties/Responsibilities /p ul li pProjects and job tasks are to include but are not limited to, working in inclement weather, home trash pickup, flower planting, laying of sod, fertilizing, chemical applications, planting trees and shrubs, landscape construction, irrigation maintenance, storm cleanup, shop cleanup, equipment maintenance, documentation, street cleaning, pond maintenance, holiday decorating, working from heights /p /li li pCheck high-priority areas daily for debris, blowing needs, weeds, or anything that is unsightly or out of place /p /li li pFully fuel up all equipment at the end of each workday /p /li li pBefore operating equipment, check for safety, fuel, oil level, tire air pressure, and any other fine-tuning before use /p /li li pDaily activities may consist of mowing with various types of mowers including zero turn and push mowers /p /li li pUse of string trimmers, edgers, blowers, and chainsaws, among a large variety of maintenance tools /p /li li pProperly applicate fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals /p /li li pComplete work in a timely, fine-tuned manner /p /li li pJobsites are to be left in a normal, safe, and clean status /p /li li pHigh-quality service is always expected /p /li li pAssist and contribute regularly on projects, at any moment, in any area, as deemed necessary by the department manager or assistant manager /p /li li pAdhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties /p /li li pPerforms other duties as assigned /p /li /ulh4Qualifications/h4brpRequired Skills/Abilities /p ul li pMows and trims lawns, using a hand mower or power mower /p /li li pTrims shrubs and improves gardens /p /li li pClean grounds, using rakes and hoses /p /li li pMay use landscaping tools or operate heavy equipment as needed /p /li /ul ul li pAdhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties /p /li /ul p /p pEducation and Experience /p ul li pHigh school graduate or equivalent desired /p /li li pPrevious outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience /p /li li pExcellent interpersonal and communication skills a must /p /li li pCandidate must have experience in operating a locator, wiring and re-wiring irrigation clocks and programming decoders /p /li /ul p /p pPhysical Requirements /p ul li pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
