Responsibilities:

• Companionship and conversation

Provide personal care and  hygiene assistance for aging adults or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming

• Medication and appointment reminders

Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

Plan and prepare meals and assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

Perform light housekeeping duties

Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Alzheimer's and Dementia care

Qualifications:

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation every single day

Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect

Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred

• No previous experience necessary but preferred - skills training provided by Home Instead

Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
