Parts Counterperson - Full-time

An automotive parts counter person's job involves assisting customers with selecting and purchasing auto parts, providing customer service, and managing inventory. They may also be responsible for ordering parts, providing price quotes, and assisting with other related tasks like taking inventory and processing orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greeting customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find the right parts.
• Sales: Selling parts to customers, processing transactions, and handling payments.
• Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels, placing orders for new parts, and managing inventory records.
• Order Processing: Entering customer orders, tracking backorders, and following up with customers on shipments.
• Part Selection: Assisting customers in selecting the correct parts for their needs, often referencing catalogs or computer systems.
• Basic Knowledge: Understanding automotive parts and systems to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining records of sales, inventory, and customer orders.
• Communication: Communicating effectively with customers, technicians, and other staff via phone, email, or in person.
• Additional Duties: Depending on the specific role, they may also be responsible for tasks like answering phone calls, processing returns, and reviewing body shop estimates.

Requirements:

• CDK: Knowledge in CDK system.
• Experience as parts counterperson in a dealership.
• Candidate must not live more than 30 min away from the dealership (approximately a 20 mile radius).

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 21+ years or older
