Company Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Old Town, ME. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our dealers, sales representatives, and consumers—providing top-tier customer support via phone and email. You will be responsible for entering orders, resolving issues, and maintaining detailed and up-to-date records. This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a customer-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing accurate information and resolving routine issues; escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Serve as a product resource and provide education on company offerings.
- Document all customer interactions, including inquiries, issues, resolutions, and product information shared.
- Enter and manage customer orders in the system; respond to order-related questions.
- Proactively upsell and cross-sell products to dealers, including new products, discontinued item replacements, backorder releases, promotions, and closeouts.
Education and Experience
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate's degree or additional relevant coursework
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to resolve routine customer service issues and escalate as necessary
- Comfortable and professional in email and phone-based customer interactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn internal software and systems
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
