Emergency Department Highlights
- Annual ED volume: ~32,000 visits
- Level IV Trauma Center
- 14-bed Emergency Department with 4-bed Fast Track
- 24-hour physician coverage daily
- 10 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
- Strong specialty backup support
- EMR system: Cerner
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
- Provide timely, evidence-based emergency care in a high-volume setting
- Perform necessary emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and consulting specialists
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency department environment
