American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience for a rotating night/evening shift position in Maryland.
Details\n- \n
- Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting at a hospital \n
- Treats all patient age ranges, from infants to geriatric \n
- Patient diagnoses span all systems, including complex and multi-system presentations \n
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with potential to increase to 1:5 for lower acuity patients \n
- Rotating night and evening shifts: 19:00–07:30 and 15:00–03:30; primary scheduling need is for nights \n
- Schedule of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted (36 or 48 hours per week) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled \n
- Floating within the specialty and to sister ED facilities (Cambridge, Chestertown, Queenstown) as needed \n
- No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required \n

- Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand \n
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required \n
- Minimum of 2 years of ED/ER nursing experience required \n
- NRP and TNCC certifications preferred \n

- CPI certification is completed during onboarding and is not required prior to start \n
- Every other weekend coverage is required \n
- Holiday shifts are required as they fall on the schedule \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
