Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the ambulatory operations of the MaineHealth Cardiovascular Service Line. This role is responsible for facilitating quality access-to-care by organizing ambulatory physician/APP coverage, inpatient hospital services, and regional outreach sites. This role is responsible for organizing the yearly weekend call schedules. This role is responsible for data entry, reporting, and making proposals to senior leadership and physicians about access-to-care measures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates overall office operations under the guidance of the practice manager.
  • Maintains and updates daily provider schedules for both office and hospital obligations
  • Leadership/facilitation for quality & practice improvement
  • Performs electronic health system template management.
  • Oversees special projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Manages more complex scheduling, inclusive of surgical scheduling and emergent scheduling needs

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Two years of administrative patient service experience.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
