Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois.

Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (06:45 PM – 07:15 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care nursing to adult patients in the Surgical ICU.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced ICU interventions.
- Administer medications including continuous sedation, vasoactive drips, paralytics, and emergency medications.
- Manage ventilated patients and provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC.
- Perform IV therapy including central line, arterial line, PICC care, blood administration, and infusion management.
- Monitor neurological status and care for patients with stroke, post-neurosurgical, and traumatic brain injury conditions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Float primarily to other ICU units as needed.
Requirements:
- Active Illinois RN License required at time of submission.
- Minimum 1 year of SICU/ICU RN experience required.
- Previous ICU travel experience required.
- Current certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- First-time travelers not accepted.
